Books I read in 2025.
In 2025 I tried to combine research-related material with more general non-fiction and some fiction. Adaptive Survey Design was particularly relevant for my doctoral work, while my non-fiction reading covered a range of topics, most frequently touching on social inequality and the societal effects of new technologies. I especially enjoyed books by Patrick Radden Keefe, Jonathan Haidt, Ingrid Robeyns, and George Monbiot & Peter Hutchison.
I also read several novels, with Cien años de soledad by Gabriel García Márquez and Philip Roth’s The Plot Against America being clear highlights — the latter probably my favourite book of the year.
